Our Mantra

SO much to do.. so little time. The world is pushing and squeezing everything out of us. All the pressures, deadlines, and expectations.

I was feeling the weight one evening, while driving. My son pointed out the new marque at a nearby church. We momentarily digested the words "Do your best and let God do the rest." We then drove on.

The next day I found our phonic tiles spread out all over the table. My son had rewritten the marque. I guess the Lord knew I needed to hear this message again. And obviously it impacted my son, who is feeling the same pressures in life.

I printed this a posted on our wall. It is now our mantra.

Science Fair

L
These boys did a great job with their projects at the Science Fair.

This boy is so into electrical engineering. It will be fun to see if he lands a career in this field.

Taylor had worked on this project since summer. So proud of his work!

Back to School

We have started back to school. It's been hard to jump back into the daily grind. Here is our mantra.

New Year's Resolution

The6Strickland's 2106 resolution: drink deep and fully the goodness of God so that we will not demand the impossible of man. As a giver or recipient, the love given will grow holier and healthier and simpler and grander.

Basically, we all took some time to seek God on a few attributes to grow into, (areas of weakness) so that we might fully embrace His goodness.

We tabbed out fighting verses in our Bibles to refer to, memorize, hide in our hearts, refresh our minds, and to sharpen our swords.
