FORT DAVIS Part One

We recently went on a very peaceful and enjoyable vacation to the Fort Davis Mountains, which is located in the desert land far West Texas. The land was beautifully rugged- lots of rocks and it was sunny and hot.

We camped out the entire time. We hiked, explored all the wildlife, took enjoyable adventures into the small Fort Davis town, visited the McDonald Observatory, and did alot of sight seeing. We also spent some time swimming in Balmorhea, which is located on the foothills of the Fort Davis mountains. Its like an Oasis in the middle of the desert.

Our camera wasnt taking good pictures- it was messing up. We have more pictures that need to be developed from the kids personal cameras, the underwater camera, and on our Papa's camera- whenever we get them, we will post them! Until then- enjoy these pics from our old camera (which has now officially died- and been replaced with a new camera our mom got for her birthday.)

Hey! I was wondering where you were and if everything was okay. Looks like a great vacation - I'll have to put it on our list. Let's get together soon.

The Fort Davis area is one of our most favorite places to go! I am so glad we were able to make some fun memories with your family!

I was so proud of how your children could hike and swim! I was impressed with how organized Tressa kept camp and encouraged her children and husband to enjoy themselves.

You Guys Rock!!!
