Dont ever underestimate the power of prayer.

Philippians 2:1-5 is a scripture that has been the banner over our marriage.

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

We have turned that scripture into a prayer.

"In our marriage, we pray that You'd give us the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, and intent on one purpose. We ask that we'd do nothing out of selfishness or empy conceit, but we would have humility of mind. Lord allow us to regard one another as more important. Help us look out for each others interest- not just our own. We want to have this attitude in You. In Jesus Name, AMEN."

We encourage you to find a scripture for your marriage and to pray it in.  Not only does the Word say that the prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective, but you are praying the Word over your marriage. Thats like a double blessing right there!!!!!!
